Cold Rolled Steel
Cold Rolled Steel, often abbreviated as CR or CRS, is known for being extremely ductile. Additionally, it is formable for moderate draw applications, as well as being non-shrinking and non-creeping at ambient temperatures. Cold Rolled Steel is ideal for projects where precision is essential. The metal is easily formable for moderate draw applications. This makes it ideal for use in many home appliances and metal furniture. Metal filing cabinets and school lockers are commonly made of this metal. In construction, Cold Rolled Steel is a common material for building steel sheds, industrial buildings, and garages.
Cold Rolled Coils (CR Coils)
Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled, followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. We offer CR coils in various thickness and grades.
Cold Rolled Sheets (CR Sheets)
Cold rolled sheets or CR sheets are hot rolled products which provide a superior surface finish, with improved physical properties of the steel, such as high formability, high strength, excellent dent resistance, good magnetic properties, tensile strength, and workability and welding properties.
